About Morrisville
Formally partitioned as a Borough in 1804, historic Morrisville sits along the Delaware River 30 miles north of Philadelphia and just across the river from the city of Trenton, New Jersey.
Named for Robert Morris (signer of the Declaration of Independence, and United States Constitution) the Borough’s place in history stretches back to the beginnings of America itself and includes where General Washington planned his famed crossing of the Delaware River to attack the British army on Christmas night 1776
